Gary R. Staly, age 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 17, 2026 at the House of John.

There will be no services at this time.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to the House of John, 14 Spring Street, Clifton Springs, NY 14432 in Gary’s memory.

Gary was born July 28, 1943 in Rochester the son of late Jay and Thelma Staly. He was a retired as a machinist from Garlocks in Palmyra. Gary enjoyed working on tractors and watch any cowboy movie or TV show he could find. He had a great sense of humor.

Gary will be sadly missed by his wife of 64 years, Ruth Staly; son, Thomas Staly; grandchildren, Kenneth (Katie White) Langlois III, Skyelar O’Connell, Stephen (Nina Doty) Staly; great grandchildren, Colton Staly and Kassidy Langlois; brother, Dennis Staly; nieces and nephews; his loving dog Tinker Bell.

Gary is predeceased by his parents, Jay and Thelma Staly; daughter, Tammy Staly Taft.
