Elsie VanCamp, age 93, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 25, 2026 surrounded by her family.

Calling Hours will be held from 4pm to 6pm on Wednesday, April 29th at the R.A. Patrick Funeral Home, 26 W. Main St., Clifton Springs.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, April 30th at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery.

Elsie was born March 24, 1933 in Phelps, the daughter of the late Howard and Opal Fowler. Through her years, she worked at the Phelps Sauerkraut factory and Sunny Side Farms . But most important to Elsie was her family who she took great pride in raising.

The family would like to thank the numerous people who helped care for Elsie including Donovan, Karen, Theresa, Jennifer, Faren, Nikki, and Michelle. Many thanks to her daughter, Betty who was by her side for many years after Elsie became disabled. Trinity, granddaughter and Tammy, niece who helped with her care up until she passed.

Elsie will be sadly missed by her children, Andy (Debbie) VanCamp, John (Lorraine) VanCamp, David (Donna) VanCamp, Dennis (Donna) VanCamp, Betty VanCamp, Kennith VanCamp, Don (Sandy) VanCamp, Deena (Gene) Jopson, Doris VanCamp, and Luann VanCamp; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Elsie is predeceased by her husband, Lewis “Bud”; children, Lewis Jr., Steve, and Dan; siblings, Oakley (Lorraine), Harry, James (Harriett), Roy “Butch” (Louise), Chuck (Lawanda), George, Ruth (Jerry), Catherine “Cady” (Phillip “Skip”), Mary, Florence (Bob), and Emma.
